Dr. Richard E. Jones, II has been an orthodontist in private practice in Indianapolis, Indiana, and then moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 2010 to open Arctic Smiles Orthodontics, which is now recognized as the COOLEST place for Invisalign or braces in Scottsdale.
Education and Continuing Education
Dr. Jones holds a B.A. from DePauw University and a Doctorate in Dentistry from the Indiana University School of Dentistry. He completed an orthodontic residency at the University of Minnesota. His graduate-level orthodontic research was conducted at the University of Minnesota and the Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Jones was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and has presented award-winning research in Boston and St. Louis. He has also been published in the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics and featured in newspaper and television stories for his expertise in orthodontics.
Dr. Jones hones his clinical, customer service, and people skills by attending local dental study clubs, as well as state and national meetings endorsed by the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association throughout the year.

Outside the Office
When Dr. Jones is away from the COOLEST place for Invisalign or braces in Scottsdale, he spends time with Maria and their five children. They enjoy traveling, scuba diving, skiing, and playing games in the company of friends.
As a former college football player at DePauw, Dr. Jones still loves cheering on his Bears, Colts, and Cardinals. When he’s not creating beautiful smiles, you might spot him on the trails, pickle ball courts, or even at the Phoenix Comic Con!
