Arctic Smiles Orthodontics

What to Expect

Every Smiles Starts with a Consultation

Choosing an orthodontist is a big decision, one that will have long-term impacts on the way you look and feel. Our practice strives to make your time with us as rewarding as possible. Arctic Smiles Orthodontics embraces technological advancements, offering a wide variety of treatment options and ensuring you get the best care possible for your needs.

This first appointment is all about meeting the team, learning what orthodontics can do for you, and finding out what treatment options offer the greatest benefit in your case. During the initial consultation, the team will:

  • Review your dental and medical history
  • Complete a comprehensive exam, including X-rays
  • Craft a treatment plan customized to your wants and needs
  • Go over the financials, including how to maximize insurance and other ways to make the process affordable

We will also take plenty of time to answer any questions you may have and ensure you feel empowered in your orthodontic treatment. Please contact us today to schedule your initial consultation.

After the Initial Consultation

Once the appointment is over, you will have taken your first step towards a healthier and happier you. The next step is to schedule an appointment to get the necessary diagnostics, and after that, for your appliance to be placed. From there, we will see you every four to eight weeks, depending on your needs.

Scheduling Appointments

Regular appointments are critical to successful orthodontic treatment. Our practice is happy to work with your schedule as much as possible so improving your smile is convenient for you. We also understand that sometimes, you will end up running late or need to reschedule. When this happens, call us as soon as possible so our scheduling coordinator can accommodate you.

Typically, appointments for braces will be every six weeks and for clear aligners every 12 weeks.

Ongoing Dental care

The orthodontist is not a substitute for your family dentist. Every six months, you still need the standard dental checkup and cleaning. If you end up needing additional dental care, we can coordinate our treatment with your dentist’s, ensuring everything blends smoothly.

Financial Information

The cost of your orthodontic treatment will be estimated at the time of your initial consultation. Unfortunately, we cannot list prices online, as many individual factors will alter the cost of treatment, from how severe the problem to be corrected is to which appliances you choose.

Making the Cost Work for You

Once you have your new smile, it is yours forever, making it a true investment in yourself. Of course, not everyone has the means to pay for care outright. So, what are some options we offer?
